Today is Veteran’s Day. We are so thankful for each and every veteran from our parish, the Ada/Cascade community, and the United States. We can never repay you for the sacrifices you made while serving to keep our freedom safe.

Last Friday, November 8, the O.W.L.S. (Older, Wiser, Livelier Seniors) held a special service to honor the veterans of our parish. This included the Posting of Colors, a patriotic medley performed by Saint Robert Catholic School students and a Missing Man Tribute. Check out some photos below!

Did you know that nearly 38 million Americans live below the poverty line? The collection for the Catholic Campaign for Human Development helps those working to end poverty in the United States. We’ll be taking up a second collection at all Masses November 16 & 17 to support this campaign. For more information on this campaign and the work it supports, visit www.povertyusa.org.

The Parish Office will be CLOSED for Thanksgiving on November 28 and 29. The School Office will be CLOSED November 27 – 29. Both offices will resume normal business hours on Monday, December 2.
Please join us for Mass at 9:00 a.m. on both Thursday, November 28 (Thanksgiving Day) and Friday, November 29. We will not offer Eucharistic Adoration on Thanksgiving Day.

This year, because the the solemnity of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary (celebrated on December 8) falls on the Second Sunday of Advent, it is transferred to Monday, December 9.
In prior years, when the solemnity of the Immaculate Conception was transferred to a Monday, the obligation to attend Mass was waived. The Vatican has since offered clarification to the U.S. Bishops that even when this solemnity falls on a Monday the obligation to attend Mass remains.
This means, Catholics should make every effort to attend Mass and rest from unnecessary labor on Monday, December 9 in celebration of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary. We will offer Mass at both 9:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. that day.
Please contact the Parish Office with any questions at (616) 676-9111 or email ParishMail@StRobertChurch.org.
