Bishop Walsh released formal decrees related to St. Raphael and St. Gabriel, on June 01, 2026.
All 19 of Bishop Walsh’s decrees related to Pastoral Plan 2026 were released on the diocesan website this week. Fr. Gerald wanted these decrees to be posted at the parish and available for all parishioners to read. Parishioners have a “10-useful-day” appeal period, starting June 2, 2026.
Bishop Walsh has decreed that St. Raphael in Mikado is designated as a simple limited use church and is united to St. Anne in Harrisville.
St. Anne remains as the sole juridic person.
He has decreed that St. Gabriel in Black River is designated as a simple limited use church and is united to St. Catherine of Alexandria in Ossineke. St. Catherine of Alexandria remains as the sole juridic person.
